BioA Word About Me
The Basics:
After I graduated from a small liberal arts school in Upstate NY (known alternately as Upstate College, WTF U etc) I got a job as an Editorial Assistant for a New York publisher. Then The Recession Came, layoffs happened, and rather than fleeing for the orange groves of California, I moved to Brooklyn and am about to start working behind-the-scenes at an arts nonprofit in Manhattan. I still sing, read, write and emote vigorously. Join me, won't you?
The Supporting Cast:

-- K-Cup, my Brooklynian roommate and former coworker

There are roughly three New Yorks. There is, first, the New York of the man or woman who was born here, who takes the city for granted and accepts its size and its turbulence as natural and inevitable. Second, there is the New York of the commuter — the city that is devoured by locusts each day and spat out each night. Third, there is the New York of the person who was born somewhere else and came to New York in quest of something.
